Round-Robin Fixture Generator

Your tournament starts on Saturday and you still have no fixtures — and every round robin fixture generator no signup search seems to end at a sign-up wall, a league setup wizard or an app install. This free round robin fixture generator needs no signup: paste your team names, tick your match days, add any blackout dates, and get a complete single round-robin fixture list instantly, right in your browser.

Round-robin fixture generator

Single round-robin: every team plays every other team exactly once. No account, no app — everything runs instantly in your browser.

How to use the round robin fixture generator in 3 steps

Step 1 — paste your teams and pick your dates. Type or paste one team name per line — anywhere from 3 to 20 teams.

Then choose your start date and tick the weekdays you can play on.

Saturday is ticked by default, because most small leagues play at weekends.

Step 2 — add blackout dates, then generate. List any dates you cannot play, one per line in YYYY-MM-DD format, for example 2026-12-25.

The generator skips those dates completely, even when they fall on a match day.

Click “Generate fixtures” and your full single round-robin appears at once — every pair meets exactly once.

Step 3 — check, copy or print. Every round shows its date, home team and away team.

Where an odd number of teams leaves one side out, you will see a clear “Bye” row instead.

Use “Copy result” to grab the fixtures as text, “Print” for a paper copy, or “Clear” to start over.

No account, no league setup, no app — the round robin fixture generator no signup promise, kept.

Worked example: 5 teams, 10 matches, one skipped blackout date

Click “Load example” and the tool fills in five teams — Falcons, Tigers, Wolves, Sharks and Eagles.

It sets the start date to Saturday 7 November 2026, keeps Saturday as the match day, and adds one blackout date: Saturday 14 November 2026.

Five teams means five rounds and ten matches in total — 5 × 4 ÷ 2 — with one bye per round, so every team sits out exactly once.

Watch round 2: it jumps from 7 November to 21 November.

The blackout date is skipped even though it falls on a Saturday, and the season simply flows around it.

Round Date Home Away
1 Sat 7 Nov 2026 Tigers Eagles
1 Sat 7 Nov 2026 Wolves Sharks
1 Sat 7 Nov 2026 Bye: Falcons
2 Sat 21 Nov 2026 Eagles Falcons
2 Sat 21 Nov 2026 Tigers Wolves
2 Sat 21 Nov 2026 Bye: Sharks
3 Sat 28 Nov 2026 Falcons Sharks
3 Sat 28 Nov 2026 Eagles Wolves
3 Sat 28 Nov 2026 Bye: Tigers
4 Sat 5 Dec 2026 Wolves Falcons
4 Sat 5 Dec 2026 Sharks Tigers
4 Sat 5 Dec 2026 Bye: Eagles
5 Sat 12 Dec 2026 Falcons Tigers
5 Sat 12 Dec 2026 Sharks Eagles
5 Sat 12 Dec 2026 Bye: Wolves

Count the pairings and you will find all ten possible pairs, each exactly once.

Falcons meet Tigers, Wolves, Sharks and Eagles across the five rounds — and so does every other team.

Home and away games split 2–2 for every team, the fairest possible split across four matches each.

The fairness note under the tool shows these exact counts for any team list you enter.

If you organise more than fixtures, the Backlog Catch-Up Planner spreads a task list across your real working days before a deadline, and the Morning Routine Planner works backwards from the time you must be ready. Both are free and need no signup either.

Common mistakes this round robin fixture generator prevents

Missing a pairing. Hand-drawn fixtures almost always leave one pairing out.

You only notice in the final week, when two teams realise they never met.

The generator builds every possible pair mathematically, so all n(n−1)/2 matches are there — ten for five teams, twenty-eight for eight.

The same team twice in one round. Manual draws often schedule one team twice in a round while another sits out unnoticed.

That wrecks rest days and fairness in one stroke.

Here each team appears at most once per round, with byes shown openly when the numbers are odd.

Fixtures on unavailable dates. Venue closed? Bank holiday? A hand-made schedule sails straight through it.

Then comes the painful reshuffle of every round after it.

Blackout dates are skipped automatically, even on match days, so your season flows around real life.

Round robin fixture generator no signup — FAQs

How many rounds and matches will I get?

Enter n teams and you get n−1 rounds when n is even, or n rounds with one bye per round when n is odd; either way the total is n(n−1)/2 matches. Five teams give 5 rounds and 10 matches, while eight teams give 7 rounds and 28 matches.

What happens with an odd number of teams?

One team sits out with a bye in each round, and every team sits out exactly once across the tournament. The fixture table marks these clearly with “Bye: team name” rows, so nobody is left wondering when they play.

How do blackout dates work?

Type each unavailable date on its own line in YYYY-MM-DD format and the generator skips it completely, even if it falls on one of your match days. Rounds simply shift to the next available match day, so your season flows around holidays and venue closures without any manual reshuffling.

Is home and away perfectly balanced?

It is balanced as evenly as possible: the generator evens out home and away games so no team gets a raw deal, and the fairness note under your fixtures shows each team’s exact home and away count. A perfectly equal split is only impossible when a team plays an odd number of matches — across five matches, 3–2 is the fairest split there is.

Do I need an account or an app?

No. This round robin fixture generator needs no signup and no app: it runs instantly in your browser, your team names never leave your device, and nothing is saved or uploaded anywhere.
